Closed!

We closed this past Tuesday!  Everything went very smoothly.  Here are some pictures from closing day. We haven't moved anything in yet, but we did install a couple of pendant lights.  Check them out.

  1. LOVE the pendent lights! Where they hard to install? Are you selling the ones that came standard (or were there not standard pendent lights?). After seeing your Tan Brown granite I'm regretting that we didn't go with that since we are getting the Hazelnut glaze cabinetry too. I know Tan Brown was one of the 4 standard granite selections for us but I didn't even think it would like as good as it does. I'm so bad at envisioning how things will turn out. And the banister rails! Were those an upgrade? I don't think they even have that as an option for us and I've never seen them in any of the RH's that I've toured (and we've toured a lot!). Looks beautiful!!! Congrats!

    1. Thanks! No pendants came with the home. Ryan did the pre-wire and capped the electric. We picked our own pendants and installed them. They didn't look hard to install. My husband picked the granite. I didn't have the vision for the granite. I am very happy with it though. The iron balusters on the stair railings were an upgrade.

  3. Nice!! We requested rough-ins for our island pendant lights. Did they install lights for you if you bought before closing? Also, I'm curious too about the stair rails. I'd like to get that too for our 2 yr olds. How did you request this?

    1. Hi. Thanks! No they didn't install them. My husband installed them after closing. The stair railings were on our options list. At our last house, we installed them in place of wood balusters that came with the house. They sell them at Lowe's and Home Depot as well. You can do the upgrade for less.

  4. Your home is lovely, congrats. We are also building a verona and about 30 days from settlement. I had a question - any issues with getting your washer/dryer up the stairs with the railing where it was?

    1. Hi! Thanks. Your home is looking great! There was no problem with the washer/dryer. We got a Maytag XL and still had no problem.
